Stellimare

Who we are

The name Stellimare is derived from two Latin words: "stelli" and "mare" which means starry and sea. Hence our logo is a planet making ripples in an ocean.

Stellimare was a computer service company starting in 2005, then evolved into web software development and data center remote hands work, but wound down operations in 2019, and officially closed in California in the start of 2023 with its licenses expiring later that year. Though working on future projects never stopped.

In 2024, Stellimare officially sprung back into existence in WA state. While still developing ghost tech projects, its official work was around providing low income and shared safe inclusive housing to fill a need.

This is especially needed among those that don't have credit histories, and don't normally fit the income requirements to rent. Some of the early renters were those that had just been kicked out by their parents after legally becoming adults, even though they were still enrolled in high school courses (commonly on the mere grounds that they were LGBTQ+). This goes to prove that the need is still very much here, even in the 2020s.

Providing housing is easy, paying for it all is another matter. It is very much a long game, with high rewards for all involved. And, of course, there is no reason why a tech company can't both develop tech and keep another foot firmly in the low tech boring housing market. It is a good way to diversify in the long term.
